Dear Parents and Students,
Being a part of Algonquin Road School, as a parent, student or staff member is quite a privilege! This is a place where children receive the groundwork of their education-learning to read, write and communicate, as well as the social skills of listening to, sharing with and helping others.
Parents, we are pleased to have you as partners in your child’s education. If you ever need clarification or more information regarding your child’s progress or needs, please contact their teacher for those answers. If your questions deal with overall programs, curriculum or activities, please contact me directly.
One of my goals is to see that the parents of students – like the students themselves – feel at home at Algonquin Road School. To accomplish that, family newsletters are sent to you at the beginning of each month. The text of these newsletters can also be found on the school’s web site. Please carefully read the “Parent/Student Handbook” to have a better understanding of expectations throughout the year.
We are glad to have you with us at ARS, and want to assure you that we will do our best to help your child experience academic, social and emotional growth. With your help, our teachers and staff will strive to make your child’s years at Algonquin Road School meaningful and fulfilling!
